Communication > Introduction

More and more often we are finding that clients, and therefore our projects, focus strongly on participation and awareness both with clients and with the public. To meet this requirement web technology and data exchange are now standard project requirements.

For projects with a strong aspect of public participation an easy and efficient method of providing information on the project to local people is essential. A public information website can prove a vital ingredient in this.

Another method is the utilisation of project collaboration websites or extranets, which allow all parties involved in a project to log in to a secure extranet (website) to exchange and access project related information and data from any computer (or mobile system) with internet access. These sites are quickly becoming the standard method of data exchange and file sharing on projects and we can help you incorporate these into the services that you offer your clients.

Once a project is completed, the final report and associated documents are delivered to a client and archived. In addition to a hard copy, an increasing number of clients are requesting digital copies of reports and drawings. An effective method of providing digital reports to clients is to create a CD or DVD containing all reports, documents, bibliographic databases etc. A simple menu system can be added to the disk to produce a high quality product to the client of the entire project and could be issued as a standard with the hard copy of any report.
